Belonging: The First Step

Jesus invited Matthew to follow him.   (See Matthew 9:9-12)   Jesus did not require Matthew to agree to everything he said.  Jesus applied no political litmus test.  Jesus did not demand that Matthew change his name, cut his hair, or dress a certain way.

In some small way, Jesus said "You Belong with Me!"  "You fit"  "You have a place to belong, to be a part"  "Come, be a part of my tribe."

All Jesus asked of Matthew, was "Are you willing to go down the same road I am?"

You are invited to journey with us, to be a part of what God is doing, in this corner of Kansas.  You see, we belong together. We do stuff together.  We like each other.

Not because we are the same, but because we decided to kick the tires.  To check it out.  And we found that we belonged.

At First AG, Belonging is the first step to Believing.
And You Belong Here.
